Massage is a treatment aimed to relax, revive and aid recovery. It can be used entirely on its own or combines with other techniques to enhance the effectiveness of treatment. We offer two different types of massage:

Swedish massage is a lighter massage used to improve circulation, ease tension and tired muscles plus aid relaxation generally. Its perfect to reduce both emotional and physical stress.

Deep tissue/sports massage is a firmer massage and is commonly used to treat chronic aches and pains, for example; tension in the neck, shoulders and back. It can also be applied to more serious post injury issues following medical treatments.

Often stretching, compression and trigger point techniques will be used. It is an overall more intense treatment but effective and supportive through all stages of training from injury to recovery and prevention of further injury before and after exercise. This treatment isn't aimed at athletes but can be beneficial to anyone who regularly takes part in exercise.
